History of a SuperHero

Emma s-a născut pe 22 august 2014, în săptămâna 42 de sarcină, având o greutate de 2825 de grame și o lungime de 49 cm. Deși s-a născut mică, inițial s-a dezvoltat normal. A început să meargă la vârsta așteptată, dar nu a început să vorbească până la 4 ani.

Astăzi, la 10 ani, Emma este destul de înaltă pentru vârsta ei, având 147 cm. Încă se confruntă cu dificultăți în dezvoltarea motricității fine, dar abilitățile ei de limbaj sunt relativ bune, chiar dacă uneori pronunția ei nu este clară și îi este greu să învețe cuvinte noi.

Principala sa provocare este în domeniul dezvoltării cognitive—are întârzieri semnificative și pare mult mai mică decât colegii ei de vârstă. Poate înota și a obținut insigna de argint la sport. Emma este un copil foarte deschis și fericit, fără conștientizarea vreunei dizabilități.

Îi place să picteze, adoră să meargă cu bicicleta, petrece mult timp jucându-se în natură, are o imaginație fantastică și vie și iubește să citească cărți.
